Great - FroggyM
There is no way that I could give the "iLife 09 Release"
suite anything but 5 stars. I switched to the mac 1.5 years ago and have been
intensely using iLife '08 for the entire time. The suite of programs is just
incredible. I would probably pay upwards of $600 for the suite of programs.

I'm happy with the new iLife '09. The improvements to
iPhoto and iMovie are both very welcome. The lessons feature of Garage Band
might be something I might use. The additions to iWeb are good but the program
still is only useful for a personal site. It just doesn't offer the search
engine optimization capabilities or speed of loading that a business site needs
in today's web environment. iDVD has some expanded features and new themes but
isn't a have-to-have update.

iPhoto faces is tremendous, and was quite fun to help train. My family and I had
a blast seeing how accurate (and at first how inaccurate) the software can be.
Almost could be a party game. First, it does a wonderful job just finding faces,
which makes tagging much easier. But as you enter names, it very quickly finds
other pictures with similar faces. You then confirm or reject it's choices. I've
found that confirming/rejecting 10-20 photos improves its accuracy tremendously,
but it can be pretty far off even after 100 photos. I'm sure more
confirms/rejects will improve it. iPhoto's Places is great, only my iPhone has
Geotagging, but very cool to see a google map pop up and remind me of places
I've snapped pictures. Now I really want Geotagging on my DSLR!
