LED Monitors Offer Longer Life

Hi over Over again , nice to see you back :) Obviously there was something of interest and that's excellent , so I hope you delight in your stay and find what you are looking for :)

By now, nearly everyone has made the switch to LCD monitors. While these monitors are much less bulky than the older CRT monitors, there are some disadvantages that can be solved by making another switch to the LED monitors.

There is one primary difference between the LCD monitor and the LED monitor. That difference is the source of the back light. In the older monitors, the source of the back light was a florescent tube. After three to four years these tubes start to dim. Since there was no way for the consumer to change the florescent tubes the monitor eventually had to be replaced. The picture on the monitor becomes progressively darker and due to this become a large source of electronic waste in our landfills.

In addition, although lighter than the monitors they replaced, LCD monitors are still heavier and thicker than LED monitors. Part of the thickness is due to the size of the florescent tubes. In contrast, LED monitors are very thin, especially if they are the edge lit type of monitor. It is the introduction of these monitors that make the ultra thin notebooks of today possible.

A third disadvantage of the LCD monitors is that the florescent light does not produce a full color spectrum. There are some colors that are just not as bright with these monitors as they are with the LED monitors that produce a high quality white light.

LED monitors now require much less energy than any other monitor on the market. In addition they are some of the brightest monitors unfilled on the market. They also have a longer life span before they start to lose their brightness.

Some users complain that the LED monitors are not evenly lit. This may be more of a matter of their eyes adjusting to using a new type of screen. Because the LED illumination are placed around the edge of the show , the center may not be as bright, but this should not affect the overall use of the screen.

Other users find the screens too bright for their inclination . One solution is to buy a monitor with a brightness control that will allow you to dim the screen if it causes problems for you. This can help you to dodge eyestrain.

Even with these two minor complaints, the LED monitor is one of the best monitors unfilled today. The monitors are super thin and they have the best clarity unfilled in any monitor. They also last longer than LCD monitors that have the florescent tubes for back lighting.

By choosing a monitor with a long life, you make a choice for the environment. This choice will mean that you do not have to exchange the monitor each time you exchange your computer. By using the same monitor for the life of more than one computer, you help to keep landfills free of electronic waste. Choosing an LED monitor should be the clear choice.
