Easy Steps To Avoid A Downed Laptop

Hi over Over again , nice to see you back :) Obviously there was something of interest and that's excellent , so I hope you delight in your stay and find what you are looking for :)

As an avid laptop user, it’s vital for me to keep my laptop up and running. Time is money and if my computer goes down, I’m going down with it. I try to keep up with the newest updates and make sure that all of my virus protections are current but it is sometimes much more than I can handle.

Sometimes I get lost in my day and forget to try out back to accept the updates and that can be a vital mistake to make. Virus protection is a must and desires to be maintained. Just being a small more diligent in how often you clean up your computer can make a huge difference.

Make it a top to keep your spam folder emptied. I have also changed my inbox to just have the message and subject but I don’t allow it to preview the message before opening. And NEVER open an email that looks suspicious; click it to spam and place a stop to them.

There are several types of virus protection that you can use but what I have found most effective and FREE is AVG virus protection. Google AVG online, download and off you go. It’s just like any other virus protection, and we like free!

There are better browsers to use instead of using Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox and Opera will do away with the spyware threat before it can even get into your browser. That’s the best way to go and to me it seems quicker than Internet Explorer!

Schedule your AVG to do a weekly scan on your laptop. That way you it’s scheduled and done without you even knowing it. Also, clean off all those cookies to relieve some of the sluggishness!

Instead of letting your kids do all the filesharing, grab them an Itunes card and be done with it. Filesharing can be a haven for viruses so why even tempt it. Monitor your children’s Internet time to make sure they aren’t surfing unsafe sites that can do major hurt to your computer.

I hope we all know this but you never know. Never give your social security number to anyone who emails you telling you they need to verify your SS#. I can’t tell you how many emails I have heard friends talking about where people wanted their SS number and they are asking me “what do you reckon I should do?”

My response was “don’t make me answer that question.” Just be safe, use your instincts and if it doesn’t look right, it probably isn’t. And be diligent about keeping your updates current and don’t forget you Anti-virus updates as well.
